The Good Grocer x Be Candle travel candle

The hand poured candle that provides meaningful paid employment to disadvantaged single mothers in Hong Kong.

Our travel candles are made in collaboration with Sai Kung based fragrance company, Be Candle. Be Candle work with the Hong Kong NGO, J Life, to provide candle making skills, training and employment to disadvantaged single mothers. Each of our travel candles has been hand poured by the ladies at J Life, providing them with meaningful, paid employment.

Our travel candles are made in small batches with Be Candle's high quality blend of soy wax, beeswax, mineral wax and coconut oil. Fragrance is clean fragrance certified to pose no risk to health or environment.

Travel candles have an approximate burn time of 30 hours. Be Candle offer a refill service, so when your candle has burned out, you can take the container to the Be Candle shop in Sai Kung for a refill. Alternatively, the containers are recyclable and reusable.

Our travel candle containers have a lid so you can easily pop them in your bag to take with you wherever you need to take a moment to relax.

Scent notes: apple, pear, lemon, mandarin, loganberry, freesia, tuberose, waterlily, lychee, osmanthus, musk, cedarwoods, dry fruits

London-based specialist tea company, NEMI Teas is an award winning social enterprise that provides hospitality training and employment to refugees, improving their chances of successful integration into their new communities.

NEMI's tea is fair-trade and rainforest alliance certified, meaning it is produced using methods that promote economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Tea bags are pyramid bags made from sugarcane, they are 100% plastic free and fully compostable.

NEMI Teas come in sturdy, striking, brightly coloured tubes. The tubes are made from wood pulp and are biodegradable, but they're so well designed, you may prefer to up-cycle them.
